"Shoulda woulda coulda" are the last words of a fool
i think the hardest part about monday was walking off the pitch after the final whistle was blown. it was the feeling of being inadequate, of fighting in vain for 60 minutes and of missed opportunities that could have been. hockey boys are through to the finals, and so are the tennis boys and girls, bball girls and rugby boys too. of course i wish the hockey girls were part of that list, but then again, i'd rather lose with this team than to win with any other. gerry says that when we look back, we wont remember how we placed, but instead we'll remember the memories that we've made. (like stuffing ourselves with ***** slices of pizza at oishi and getting high in the process) today after training, mr gopi said that come friday, we'll be on our own cos we wont have anymore training. but i thought to myself, no, we'll always have each other. right?
thank you councillors and everyone who have supported us thus far, it really means a lot to us. although having spectators makes the atmosphere more pressurizing, having people cheer us on when we are tired and disheartened really helps to keep us fighting.
oh and thank you to all my ubercool friends for cheering me up with your smses, calls, chocolates, and icecream(: it felt like a mini valentines day, haha. i actually feel bad for all of you cos i'd hate to be in your shoes since i probably wouldnt know what to say.
